Vikegear is a software consulting firm that also provides an on-line job referral network product PeerJobs.Net (open beta) The product provides a social network for professionals that allows them to leverage their industry connections to build their careers and fill job openings. The product builds on the fact that the majority of the job openings are filled with either a referral or though personal connections.

The product facilitates the maintenance of connections via lists of peer contacts that it manages for users. Each user's list of contacts is integrated into a large interconnected network of colleagues. At the core of the product is the idea that users specify their professional skills, rate those skills themselves and allow their peers/colleagues to rate those skills as well. More numerous and consistent ratings by colleagues act as a evidence of high proficiency in the skills being rated.

If a candidate becomes a contractor through Vikegear Ltd. the person who refers them will receive a continuous referral bonus paid based on the number of hours the contractor works each month.
